There is a mechanism
worth measuring.

Mechanical motion can release particles from textiles. The development question is how much more soil an integrated carpet head can collect under a fair comparison.

Development stage · Physical validation pending

01 / RELEASE

Motion changes
particle contact.

Controlled textile-strike experiments observed detachment through combined fabric motion, deformation and induced airflow. The result supports a physical mechanism, with transfer limits for installed carpet.

02 / CAPTURE

Released does not
mean collected.

Carpet research distinguishes dust retained in a surface from particles returned to the air. Suction, head geometry and disturbance must be evaluated together.

03 / TRANSFER

Carpet construction
changes the problem.

Pile, backing, underlay, particle size and preparation influence coupling and pickup. A successful car-mat demonstration cannot alone establish household-carpet performance.

The working model

Four steps to useful collection.

01

Couple

Deliver motion into the carpet structure.

02

Release

Disrupt particle contacts and entrapment.

03

Transport

Move loosened soil toward the intake.

04

Retain

Keep the collected material in the vacuum system.

A conceptual framework for testing, not four measured efficiencies for this design.

Evidence and limits

What the research supports

Mechanical disturbance can mobilize retained particles. Airflow and surface construction affect the outcome. Standardized embedded-soil and vacuum-process emissions tests provide routes for independent evaluation.

What this concept still needs to prove

Incremental collected soil versus an ordinary powered brush, suitable settings across household carpets, acceptable airborne release and wear, durable packaging, and viable OEM economics.

How prior art is being handled

Vibrating vacuum heads, separate controls and related mechanisms have substantial published history. The development package includes a patent landscape and counsel-review questions. No claim of novelty, patent-pending status or legal clearance is made.

What the visuals represent

Product imagery is generated concept art. Technical illustrations describe proposed arrangements. Neither represents a manufactured or validated product.
